things have gotten weird.

(i am sick, so forgive any lack of clarity.)

i am worried about the state of my universe and the people in it. it seems to be unraveling.

i went to my parents' house yesterday for my mother's birthday gathering only to have my sister reveal to me that she is worried about my mom — seems she's ultra-down right now. then my sister told me that she herself is not doing so great either; apparently my mother had to go and fetch her to the hospital last wednesday because my sister hadn't gotten out of bed since sunday.

on top of that, my friend demetry told me that he's worried about my roommate. my roommate has told demetry that he can't sleep and is freaking out...not that i noticed, being mr. self-invovled. i attempted to draw him out last night, but he wasn't having it. i can't blame him — communication between us has been at an all-time low.

too, my friend bryan has been in the hospital in new york for the past two weeks because his seizures are getting out of control and the medications aren't even touching them anymore. i didn't even know, because i have cut myself off. now i am worried about him, plus i feel like a dork for being all woe-is-me when he has real problems.

the sugar on top of this cereal-bowl full of fun is that my friend jorgen's dad left a message on my voice mail this morning trying to find his son. jorgen was supposed to meet his family for dinner yesterday and didn't show. i haven't seen him since last monday, and no one knows where he is — none of his friends, not his girlfriend...i am worried. kyle tells me that he thought jorgen wasn't doing so good when we saw him on monday (though, once again, i couldn't tell).

and i'm sick. my throat feels like it got run over by a tractor, and i had a fever last night (scary, too — my fever-induced dreams made me think i was going insane...don't ask).

what's happened? why is the world so fucked up? i don't know what's going on.
